(i'm much younger than you, i think, and i'm also a noob around here on deviantart.. not so good myself on drawings but i just wanna tell you what i'm noticing as a viewer.)

*have you tried to make the eyelashes kind of 'slack down'?
like, the line of the eye also; ever tried to make it rooouunnd and ya know. like Anne Hathaway kinda eyes? well hers isn't really slack down but her eyes look soft and yeah.

i think you could be even BETTER if you add more individualism. nice works!
