It is a submission into *clayscence's OC contest of Chastity Belle. I decided it should take the form of an autographed photo.

Super Idol #SI-01D "Chastity Belle" is the prototype of the Megasound Records Advanced Research Super Idol project. The aim of this project is to create "from scratch", through genetic engineering, a pop singer of lasting appeal, in order to replicate the enormous success Megasound Records had when Alexis DuBois was a performer on their label. Every facet of her life is monitored and controlled by the record company; as they have had too many artists leave due to "creative differences".

Being a GE human she has a number of abilities well beyond human norms, including enhanced strength, speed, flexibility, and resistance to injury; flawless kinaesthetic memory (useful in training those tricky dance moves); and, of course, perfect pitch and an exquisite singing voice. In spite of all this she remains pretty much a small-town girl, raised in a Catholic community in Kansas by her foster mother, under the belief that her parents had perished in a terrible plane crash. (In reality, no such "parents" exist.) Music is the #1 most important thing to Chastity, and as a schoolgirl she yearned to become just like her idol, Alexis. But, when she wins the (partially rigged) nationwide "Idol Factory" competition and becomes Megasound's next idol, she has difficulty retaining her balance under the pressures of celebrity life. She also has an independent streak a mile wide that Alexis never had -- a serious character flaw if you're an idol -- and that eventually leads her to seek refuge amongst the rebellious, hard-partying underground of music pirates known colloquially as "nabsters" in the mainstream press.
